I was 18 when I had my first panic attack. I had no idea what was happening and truly thought I was going to die. I went to the emergency room but they didn’t find anything physically wrong with me so I went home.⠀

As it turns out, sometimes my brain likes to play tricks on me and senses danger when there is none. My little monkey brain goes into fight or flight mode, fires adrenaline on all cylinders (for no reason at all) and sends me spiraling into a two-hour long fear and confused-laden panic.⠀

Eventually, I fall asleep and the next morning I wake up feeling exhausted and depleted but much much better.⠀

During the time before I learned how to manage my panic disorder through breathing exercises, meditation (and medication!) the mantra I used to repeat to myself was “you’ll feel better tomorrow”⠀

Anxiety is definitely running high these days so if it’s something you suffer from, know that you aren’t alone. If you don’t I still hope you think the new tune is a bop. Cheers, Matt ?
